Whether you’re commuting into Vancouver along Highway 1, hauling gear down to Mill Lake Park, or heading out into the backcountry above Harrison, Fraser Valley drivers need a vehicle that adapts as fast as their lifestyle does.
Today, we’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to the Ford family: The Ford Fathom, Ford’s all-new midsize electric truck built on the Universal EV Platform.
And with a targeted starting MSRP of $28,350 USD (Canadian pricing and local availability details to follow ahead of pre-orders), it’s set to redefine what an affordable, capable EV can be.
What’s in a Name?
“Fathom” holds a double meaning. Historically, a fathom measured six feet—the reach of an open arm span. Over time, it came to mean understanding something completely.
That’s exactly how Ford engineered this truck. Instead of designing a vehicle around a spec sheet, the engineering team started by understanding the driver: their daily commute, their weekend plans, their cargo needs, and their budget.

Key Features Fraser Valley Drivers Will Love
- More Space Than You’d Expect: Fathom comfortably seats five adults and is projected to offer more passenger volume than a Toyota RAV4—making it ideal for weekend trips out to Cultus Lake or carpooling around Abbotsford.
- Built for Practicality & Tech: Features a high-resolution touchscreen, a digital vehicle key, a front trunk (“frunk”), and a bed designed for flexible cargo carrying.
- Bidirectional Power Capability: Power your camping gear at Golden Ears, run work tools on-site, or power essential household devices during stormy Valley power outages.
- Seamless Highway Driving: Every Fathom comes equipped with Ford’s BlueCruise hardware for hands-free highway driving in designated Blue Zones, integrated with Apple Maps for on-ramp to off-ramp navigation. Full compatibility with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also included.
