For more than 60 years, the Ford Transit® has supported businesses that need dependable, hardworking vans. In 2026, Ford takes the Transit to the next level by transforming it into a rolling smart hub—without changing the familiar look business owners trust. This latest update focuses on connectivity, safety, and productivity, turning the Transit into a true mobile office.
At the center of this upgrade sits a built-in 5G modem and an available Ford Connectivity Package, included for one year. This system delivers fast internet access, unlimited Wi-Fi® for up to 10 devices, and seamless cloud connectivity. Business owners and fleet managers can access Ford Pro™ software, including Telematics and Fleet Management tools, without installing extra hardware. Real-time vehicle data helps track routes, monitor fuel usage, manage driver behavior, and schedule maintenance more efficiently.
Ford also made driver assistance a standard feature. Every 2026 Transit includes Ford Co-Pilot360®, which adds automatic high beams, a Lane-Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assist® with Automatic Emergency Braking, and rear parking sensors with a rearview camera. Passenger Wagon XLT models take safety even further with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, adding Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, a 360-degree camera, and BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert.
Inside the cabin, the Transit feels more like a connected workspace than a traditional van. Keyless push-button start, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12-inch SYNC® 4 touchscreen come standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ keep drivers connected, while available Connected Navigation helps avoid delays and traffic.
Ford also improved the E-Transit™ for 2026 with a new wheelbase option, a standard heat pump for better cold-weather efficiency, and available dual onboard chargers. With these upgrades, the Ford Transit lineup continues to lead the commercial van segment. Come to MSA Ford and discover more!
